I have a 6 month old Weimaraner. Recently, he has broke out in red bumps on his skin, his skin is flaky and dry, and he has had some hair loss, nothing too extreme, but it’s noticeable. I use a good dog shampoo on him and feed him a good dog food. I have heard they have very sensitive skin and are apt to have allergic reactions to almost anything, such as carpet cleaner, dog food with veggies in it, or a cleaner that is used to clean his pen, etc. He doesn’t act like anything bothers him and he doesn’t itch a lot. Can you tell me what may be wrong with him or what I would need to change??
6 month old Weimaraner with skin problems?
Need to see a vet. There are numerous things that can be wrong. Allergies, mites, mange, ringworm, flea bite dermatitis etc…..Have your vet do a skin scrape and test for ringworm to start. That will rule out mange, mites and ringworm. Good Luck!
Reply:try Eagle Pack dog food. its made from organic-like foods and dosent contain by-products. They dont have to eat as much of it, so the price winds up the same. regular dog food is made from diseased and decayed meat, corn husks and cobs, peanut hulls, and animal by-products. they also have cancer-causing preservatives (BHT, BHA, TBHQ) so its no wonder dogs dont live that long. also try a moisturizing shampoo
Reply:It is sheting
